One man's dream. One firefighter became four. Joe and Rich carrying the banner in memory of our fallen bretheren. Our goal is to deliver our
energy infused brand of music to the World.
This bands following continues to grow, "one fan at a time" thanks to each and every one of you that have helped make this dream possible. With the addition of Mat sebel on drums, the AFTERBURN machine has become a verifiable force of nature, rolling like thunder across the music scene.
Since forming in 2009, AfterBurn has played shows all across the Nation, from L.A. to Chicago and of course our home, New York! From Green Bay down to San Antonio alongside legendary bands and musicians such as Steven Adler of GNR, Joe and Al Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult, Faster Pussycat, Lillian Axe, L.A. Guns, The Bullet Boys, Kenny Arnett, Gina Stiles, to name a few.
With the release of our first full length CD in June 2014, " Never Forget", the band gained acclaim for our live performance as well as song composition, and we were invited to tour with Faster Pussycat in the Fall of 2014.

born and raised in the small town of St. James, N.Y. The son of a New York City firefighter, joe was brought up in and around a firehouse atmosphere. when he turned 13, Joe got a guitar for his birthday and taught himself to play by listening to Rock albums he stole from his older sister.
He started putting his first songs together and joined a band with his friends at the age of 14.
he continued to play after joining the USMC at 18. In 1992 Joe became an FDNY firefighter like his dad, and music was put on the shelf for awhile. After September 11th, 2001, he began to search for similar minded musicians that were interested in playing original material. In 2010, Joe founded AfterBurn, who played their first show in February of 2010. Since then, AfterBurn has played gigs from N.Y. out to the famous Whiskey a Go Go in los angeles, recorded and released two albums, and shared the stage with big names such as Joe and Al Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult, Gina Styles of Vixen, Steven Adler of Guns and Roses, topped off with a short cross country tour with the legendary Faster Pussycat. The last six years with AfterBurn is just the beginning. Stick around, this might just get interesting ...
